John Kogan, CEO/CFO, Co-founder
John has been CFO at four technology companies, a finance Executive at Cardinal Health, and a finance and accounting professional at AlliedSignal and Cisco Systems. John has raised over $100M in equity capital and debt and has played central roles in numerous buy and sell-side transactions for both public and private companies. In addition to running Accounting, Finance and Treasury, John has also led corporate and IP legal, HR and recruiting, IT, facilities and administration during his CFO tenures. As COO at two companies, John also ran Engineering, Manufacturing and Customer Service operations. His market experience includes domestic and international, public and private companies in the hardware, software, service and process industries. He has also founded, invested in and been a board member or advisor of a number of companies. John has an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a B.A. in Economics from Connecticut College.
Greg Stout, CTO, Co-founder
As a four-time VP and three-time Director of Engineering, Greg has led engineering teams at a number of advanced technology companies. He is also a sought-after technical advisor for emerging start-up companies in various markets, including social community development. Greg has over 18 years of large and small company experience in software development, engineering, web applications, databases, applications, professional services, customer support, product management, research and development, information systems, and embedded systems. He has also founded, invested in and been a board advisor of a number of private companies. Greg has an MBA and B.S. in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University.
Chuck Pendell, VP Sales
Chuck Pendell brings more than two decades of high tech sales and management experience to Proformative. Most recently, Chuck was the Vice President of Sales for Connectbeam, an enterprise social software bookmarking and tagging solution. His career includes sales and management positions with Burroughs/Unisys, Saros/Filenet, Action Technologies, Movaris, Active Decisions, and Selectica (NASDAQ: SLTC), where he built the worldwide sales and field support team from three members to over 100, resulting in the highly successful Selectica IPO in March of 2000. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Chuck graduated from Washington State University with a BS in Business Administration.
Ernie Humphrey, VP, Educational & Marketing Programs
Ernie is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) with over 15 years of experience in working capital management, financial risk management, investment management, financial reporting, and acquisition integration management. Ernie served as the Director of Treasury Services and as a Director of the Corporate Treasurers Council for the Association for Financial Professionals. While at AFP, Ernie managed educational content in addition to developing new products to serve financial professionals. Ernie also authored several published articles on working capital management and acquisition integrations and managed AFP’s career center. Previously, Ernie garnered eight years of experience in marketing and treasury while serving as a Global Marketing Analyst and the Treasury Operations Manager at Franklin Electric. During his tenure at Franklin Electric he played an integral role in setting up and maintaining a centralized global cash management structure and managing four treasury integrations. Ernie has BS and MS in Economics from Purdue University.
