I sourced Intacct originally for my business use back in 2002, when this software company was just starting out with their SAAS accounting solution. These folks pioneered the concept of what is now “cloud computing” and have always had very strong product. Many current players in the ERP market eventually began to jump on the bandwagon and copy their approach. There are lots of integration features with Intacct and they do XML especially well. I would say the strongest feature of Intacct is their financial reporting. You can create any kind of financial presentation you want and with some forethought can tie both financial and operational metrics. These reports can then be deployed to various audiences via system dashboards, scheduled e-mails, etc. It became a huge timesaver when I was dealing with managers in offices across the US. They also have a robust consolidation feature, which reporting accountants know can get hairy to deal with. The only downside I can offer is that the system can get pricey if you have a large company and accounting team that needs to access. Then again, if you are at that point, all the viable systems are going to be somewhat in the same range for what you need an ERP to do… I highly recommend Intacct for companies that have their sites on 8+ digit revenue levels, dispersed staff, multiple companies and/or a global presence. Install it early in your company and grow with it!

I have used Intacct's SaaS based accounting software in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment and found it to be very user friendly and comprehensive. The company was very professional, responsive and easy to work with.
