 The BP Oil Spill raises new issues concerning Enterprise Risk Management and the board’s role. During our program, we will explore the BP Gulf Oil Crisis and similar challenges and implications for today’s directors. Issues that we will discuss include: What is the Board’s role with respect to safety? What might the Board of BP done differently to avert a disaster? How should the Board of BP have coordinated the crisis communications response? How can you identify your Company’s “BP issue”? What are some related risk factors that you should be thinking about with respect to your companies?
