Accounting and Finance daily work plans

I need to prepare for a meeting with several non-finance colleagues of mine where each of us will present our daily work requirements / work plans. In my experience, these meetings are held to shed light on what we do and how we do it. My original idea was to present a monthly and quarterly task list.

Quickbooks Non Profit Edition

Hi,
We are a non profit organization operating like a YMCA. Our front end customer list, class registrations, and all AR are run through a program called E-finesstri. E-finesstri can produce a notepad JE that is automatically entered into our accounting system, which is Sage MIP. We are looking to move to Quickbooks NP edition. 2 questions:

franchise fee revenue

I have a non-profit client with multiple locations who is now thinking of franchising their model to others in smaller cities. Does the franchsie fee revenue count towards earned income? (vs. contributed income)? And is it recognized over the term the fee covers? I think the answer is yes to both, but am looking for some authoritative literature.

Fund Raising & Cash Handling

We are a 501(c)(3) with 14 distributed locations and a "corporate office". There are fundraising events at each of the various locations. I'm looking for some input on what types of controls I can put in place to provide integrity to the fund raising cash handling process."

Pledges Receivable - Capital Campaign

Question for the Non Profit experts out there. I have a client who is in the middle of a Capital Campaign and is getting pledges that span from one to five years, many of which are employees. the client wants to record the present value of all Capital Campaign Pledges at the end of each fiscal year.

Classification of Contribution from Donor Advised Funds

Does anyone know if there are specific guidelines regarding whether a contribution from a donor-advised (vs. donor controlled) fund is to be classified as an Individual contribution or as a contribution from a foundation?

1099 requirements for pass through awards
