Mattson Technology Names Former Ernst & Young Audit Manager as CFO

Semiconductor processing equipment manufacturer Mattson Technologies recently announced that it will bring on board a veteran of the semiconductor industry and former Ernst & Young audit manager to serve as its new CFO.

According to a release from the company, Mattson's board of directors has named J. Michael Dodson as chief financial officer. Current CFO Andrew Moring will immediately shift his responsibilities to Dodson, but will remain with the company for the rest of the year.

Prior to joining Mattson, Dodson held the senior vice president and CFO positions with companies such as DDi Corp. and Electro Scientific Industries Inc., both of which are involved in the semiconductor industry, the release notes.

David L. Dutton, Mattson's president and CEO, said in a statement that Dodson's experience in the industry combined with his financial expertise helped the company choose him for the CFO post.

"I am confident that his industry background and demonstrated financial leadership will contribute significantly to Mattson Technology's continued success," Dutton explained.

The appointment of a new CFO is the latest personnel move made by Mattson, which also recently named two new board members, according to The Associated Press.
