TCF Bank Adding Hundreds of Finance Jobs in South Dakota

Minnesota-based national bank holding company TCF Bank announced recently that it plans to open a new operations facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, creating 200 new finance jobs in the area.

According to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, the hundreds of new positions are part of a significant expansion for TCF Bank in the area, where there is only currently one bank location.

"We like Sioux Falls. We like South Dakota," Jason Korstange, director of corporate communications, told the news source. "We’ve got a branch there and chartered our bank through there. We like everything about it."

The news source reports the finance jobs being added by TCF Bank are just the latest such positions to be added in Sioux Falls, as Premier Bankcard recently hired 100 workers and Citibank is planning to hire 200 employees by the end of the quarter. Capital One and Wells Fargo are also reportedly planning to bring new jobs to the region.

While the hiring schedule for TCF Bank will reportedly be staggered, the company has already begun accepting applications, reports local ABC affiliate KSFY.
