Chevron Phillips Chemical Promotes Industry Veteran to CFO

The Woodlands, Texas-based Chevron Phillips Chemical Company recently announced that it is appointing an assistant treasurer with Chevron Corporation to chief financial officer.

According to a release from the company, Tim D. Leveille will take over as senior vice president, controller and CFO on March 1, and will report to chief executive officer Peter L. Cella.

In his role as assistant treasurer with Chevron Corporation, Leveille has been responsible for a number of financial functions, including overseeing and supporting global cash management and financing various activities for the corporation's operating companies, the release noted.

"We are pleased to have Tim join our executive management team," Cella, the CEO, said in a statement. "His depth of experience and knowledge of our industry will be invaluable as we pursue our strategic growth objectives in the future."

The move comes as Chevron announced recently that it plans to open at least 25 new retail service stations in the Phillipines this year. The decision is part of Chevron's efforts to expand in the Asia Pacific region, where it will reportedly open 400 new stations over the next five years, according to the Sun Star.
