Recommend Business Vaulation Specialist/Consultant

Folks: As we all know, one of the things that makes Proformative such a nice resource is that we are a "noise-free" environment. That means no obnoxious banner ads, no one outside of finance, accounting, treasury or related functions allowed in the community areas, and NO self-promotion. When someone asks for referrals, such as what Liz did in the topic above, please do not promote yourself as the solution to the entire community. I realize there may be some confusion on this point because this is one of the areas where people who genuinely belong in the community happen to also be service providers. That's great - we welcome all F. A. & T. practitioners. But when someone asks for referrals, the most effective form of endorsement is from one service user to another, like what Bryan did above, recommending a provider he has used in the past. If someone asks for help and you can provide it through paid services in your business practice, please only contact that person directly through Proformative's ability to send users private messages, and do not post in the forum itself. In this way we avoid the "noise" and potential abuse of self-promotion.
