Referrals for a Fixed Asset Physical Inventory
I need recommendations on external firms that can perform a fixed asset physical inventory and reconcile to our records. My expectation is that they would do the counts, do the reconcilation and propose the general leger adjustments if necessary. I want to outsource this project. We are a small to mid size business a little over 10 years old.

And where are the locations to be audited? Audit firms were practically made to do this type of work and very frequently do. If you want they would probably also be happy to suggest improvements in your inventory practices, such as tracking technology, cycle counts, human processes and more.
If you can give us an idea of your company's location and the locations of the items you need inventoried it would help others provide you with recommended firms.

In a previous company, I had to obtain a detailed asset inventory for over 250 orthodontic offices in over 40 different states (primarily to get the data necessary for personal property returns).
