Webinar Video: Say "So Long" to SAS70

Kurt Morrow's Profile

The following video is from the Proformative webinar "Say 'So Long' to SAS70: Are you ready for SSAE16?" held on June 8, 2011.  The webinar features presentations from Sam Wholley, Senior Manager, Frank Rimerman + Co. LLP and Mark Hurst, Director, Business Advisory Services, Hein & Associates, LLP.

SAS 70 has long been the auditing standard by which service providers are measured with regards to their processes and procedures, controls and safeguards. Many companies have relied on SAS 70 to ensure that their processes are rigorous, appropriate, and properly implemented, and many clients depend on SAS 70 reports to make buying decisions and to vet technology and service providers.

This event provides an overview of why companies use or might want to use these standards for their own companies and why you might want service providers to be held to such standards. We review SAS 70 itself and then dive in to the new standards of SOC 1, 2, and 3, as well as the international standard ISAE 34-02. We also address implementation considerations for those thinking about adoption of the new standards.
