Mr. Darren S. Cordier, CFA is founder and president of FV Specialists, Inc, a business valuation and advisory firm. Since 1994, he has performed hundreds of valuation engagements related to financial advisory, intangible asset valuations, and valuation of incentive compensation units including private equity, options, stock based appreciation rights, etc. Mr. Cordier is well recognized for his knowledge of business valuation and fair value having spoken before the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("AICPA"), American Society of Appraisers ("ASA"), Institute of Business Appraisers, Appraisal Issues Task Force ("AITF"), and other professional groups; contributed to chapters in to "Financial Valuation: Applications and Models", edited by James Hitchner (John Wiley and Sons, Inc. 2003 and 2006); performed technical reviews on the book "Valuation for Financial Reporting", (John Wiley and Sons, Inc. 2002); and co-authored professional courses for AICPA and the American Society of Appraisers ("ASA") on valuations for financial reporting. Mr. Cordier received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master of business administration from Texas Christian University. Mr. Cordier holds the CFA designation from the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.
