A new survey of 5,000 individuals in the U.K. and U.S. found that many would consider taking their business to Apple if it opened a bank, TechNews Daily reports.

According to the news source, with Google having moved into the smartphone and television business, a rival like Apple could ultimately decide to take it one step further. The study, conducted by marketing and research consultant KAE and online polling firm Toluna, found 10 percent of respondents said they would consider switching to the Apple Bank.

Unsurprisingly, current Apple customers were even more likely to consider the switch, with 43 percent saying they would be willing, according to the news provider.

Two-thirds of respondents said their trust in Apple would be the main motivation for them to switch, with half saying they believed Apple would make their accounts easier to manage.

For now, though, Apple appears to be sticking to some of its most popular products, as it reportedly launched its new iPad in 25 more countries on Friday, March 23, PC Magazine reports.
