Cash Flow and Cash Flow Forecasting

Date: Wednesday, May 18, 2016
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
In this webinar, we explore how cash flow forecasting should function. We will concentrate on short-term cash flow forecasting – i.e., up to one year or so. Our speaker Ken Parkinson, Managing Director at Treasury Information Services, will begin with common structures for cash flow forecasting and then continue with how to evaluate whether short-term forecasting methods may be adapted to fit an individual case.

We will discuss how to identify potential sources from both personal input and computer systems. We will break down data to explore how valuable the data items are to the overall forecast. Finally, we will gather up all of the pieces we identify and construct a basic forecasting template.
After attending this event you will be able to:
Define the information requirements for a short-term (i.e., up to 1 year) cash flow forecasting system.
Identify how to perform an objective critique of an existing cash flow forecasting system.
Recognize when to use standard forecasting methods and how to evaluate their performance.
Develop an effective cash flow forecasting system that integrates various time horizons, data items, and performance measurements.
