Chris Karl joined Global Healthcare Alliance in 1999 as Controller and was quickly promoted to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Karl is responsible for Accounting, IT, HR as well as overseeing budgeting and capital planning for Global. In addition, Mr. Karl works closely with the entire Executive team to help shape the strategic direction of the organization.

Mr. Karl’s experience providing strategic direction for healthcare organizations through technology improvement and financial restructuring is a cornerstone of Global’s success. Prior to Global, Mr. Karl’s healthcare experience began at Arthur Anderson in the Audit Division where he had the opportunity to work on both large and mid-size hospital engagements. He then worked in Internal Control and Business Development at Hermann Hospital. There he led the implementation of a Revenue Management System which monitored accuracy of Payer payments and resulted in collecting more than $2.5 million in underpayments. Mr. Karl earned his degree from the University of Houston and is a certified public accountant.

James is the CFO for GuideStar, the leader in providing on-line data and information on nonprofit organizations to foundations, consultants, and other professionals serving the charitable sector. He is responsible for coordinating strategic and financial oversight across the organization and also heads fundraising. He was just named Nonprofit Transformational CFO of the Year for 2014. Before joining GuideStar, he spent 14 years in the New York City area leading financial planning and analysis for media companies including MTV, Showtime Networks, the Wall Street Journal, Sirius Satellite Radio, John Wiley & Sons, and local affiliates of the major broadcast television networks. He has served on the board of nonprofit Pacifica radio stations in both New York and Virginia and started his professional career as an environmental engineer for firms and clients across the East Coast. James received BAs from the University of Virginia in Economics and Biology, and earned an MBA from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Michael Rist has over 20 years of international experience and a record of success in financial leadership roles within Corporate Finance for Public and Private Companies and Big 4 Public Accounting. Michael holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Copenhagen Business School and an MBA from Villanova School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and active in a number of professional organizations.

Michael is the CFO of Mosaica Education Inc., a global Education Management Organization with offices in the United States, United Kingdom, India and the United Arab Emirates. The company manages schools and provides education services focused on the belief that every child, in every community, deserves the opportunity for quality education. Mosaica is the only US-based education organization serving preschool through high school students in public, private, charter and online education settings, in the United States and globally, that has also developed award-winning curriculum.

Michael is the author of ”Financial Ratios for MBAs & Financial Managers 2.0” an easy-to-use reference book on financial ratios and capital allocation. Michael’s work on BYOPC has also recently been published by Financial Executives International.

Bruce has acquired over 20 years of corporate and banking experience in all aspects of treasury and financial management by successfully tackling major assignments in such areas as treasury operations, cash management, strategic planning, credit, Treasury and systems enhancements as well as the design of operating and capital budgets and forecasts. His many consulting assignments have improved the treasury operations, cash and working capital management capabilities for some of the largest Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to starting the Financial Executives Consulting Group, he was a Managing Director of Greenwich Treasury Advisors, a treasury and risk management consulting firm. Also, he was a Vice President of Bankers Trust and Director of Cash Management for Ogden Corporation. During his many assignments he has worked in countries throughout Asia, Africa and Europe and with all levels of management up to and including the CEO level.

He has an Industrial Engineering degree from Lehigh University, a MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business and is certified as a Treasury Professional (CTP) by 14,000 members Association for Financial Processionals (AFP).
