The CFO's Guide to the Cloud - Choosing the Right Cloud-Based Core Financials

Date: Thursday, April 30, 2015
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
Cloud-based solutions have and continue to vastly enhance company performance to reduce complexity, standardize processes, and improve ability to keep up with customers. In our role as financial stewards of the company, we need to fully evaluate the choice and its impact on both the business and finance team to ensure the Cloud-based solutions selected can meet current and expected requirements.

This webinar will present you with a framework and strategy to use when considering cloud adoption so that you and your organization can do it with forethought and efficiency, paying particular attention to platform capabilities, breadth of applications and the adoption of enabling technologies such as social and mobile. Making the wrong choice in the cloud can be the same disaster as making any wrong technology choice in the office of the CFO – this webinar will help you avoid the big mistakes and run through a well thought out approach.
After attending this event you will be able to:
Identify the business driver that would move you toward cloud financials
Understand initial steps to analyze different options
Recognize opportunities for Cloud to enable finance to be better business partners

Speakers

Mark Richards, VP of Finance and Operations, RBA Consulting
Mark Richards
VP of Finance and Operations, RBA Consulting
Mark’s finance background started with traditional accounting & analysis roles, but really built experience with an ‘outside-in’ approach by becoming heavily engaged in revenue generation, marketing, operations and M&A – with his roles and assignments taking him to 140+ cities in 15 countries. Along the way, Mark has served in roles in business development and marketing, which further helped to deepen his business view to become a better finance executive. He often shares the view that ‘finance is the punchline, with sales and operations being the set-up’, and that to be a good finance executive that you must work to understand the business like the CEO.

Prior to RBA, Mark held a global marketing role at SAP, focusing on cloud-based offering for customer engagement, commerce and finance. He was a start-up CFO for 5 years working across multiple industries, SVP Finance for the Royal Bank of Canada’s U.S. Wealth Management division and International Finance for Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
