Continuous Accounting: The End to the Traditional Record-to-Report Process

Date: Wednesday, May 11, 2016
Time: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
Close activities and period-end accounting processes were not built for today’s modern business economy. The traditional Record-to-Report process means waiting for the end of a period to have accurate and verified data. This prevents business decisions from being made with up-to-date information.

A new approach to Record-to-Report processes, called Continuous Accounting, represents a paradigm shift in accounting operations. Automation and controlled workflows now allow tasks typically performed during the period-end to instead be embedded within day-to-day activities, allowing the rigid accounting calendar to better align with actual business cycles.

This webinar will cover the basics of Continuous Accounting and its advantages over Period-End Accounting. We will also discuss how technology enables this transformation, along with the journey from traditional Record-to-Report processes.
After attending this event you will be able to:
Understand the basics of Continuous Accounting
Recognize the advantages over Period-End Accounting
Understand how technology enables this transformation
Recognize the journey from traditional Record-to-Report processes
