Defining Success in the Subscription Economy: Metrics that Matter

Date: Wednesday, November 5, 2014
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST There are no CPE Credits for this Solution Demonstration.
Subscription-based business models are taking hold across a wide variety of industries. The attractiveness of more predictable revenue streams and increased company valuation are compelling--however, the financials of subscription-based businesses are dramatically different from that of their predecessors. Metrics that define success for companies modeled on recurring revenue are not the traditional metrics that have defined success in the pre-subscription economy. Savvy CFOs know the best-managed subscription businesses rely on a new core set of key metrics to improve daily operational performance, increase productivity, and drive profitability. Is your financial software giving you the right visibility into the metrics you need to deliver optimal business performance in the subscription economy?

Join Dave Key, Managing Director, Cloud Strategies and Mark Gervase, Cloud Financials Strategist, Intacct as they explain:

  • Key metrics for subscription businesses, their underlying drivers, and why they matter
  • Current benchmarks for revenue growth rate and sales and marketing expense
  • The critical importance of real-time visibility into business performance and KPIs
After attending this event you will be able to:
Discover the key SaaS KPIs, their underlying drivers and why they matter
Define the actions your company should take to effectively manage your subscription business
Discover why going deeper than backward-looking GAAP-based financials is needed to get a true view of the financial health of any subscription-based business
