Change is coming – and it’s not just from the U.S. Congress! States are also finding new ways to collect internet sales tax revenue. If you sell online, you’ve probably heard about the Marketplace Fairness Act (MFA) of 2015. It’s making new headlines and there’s lots of speculation about what it could mean for online sellers. But companies need to be equally aware of changes at the state level and the States’ latest efforts to collect additional sales tax revenue. Sales Tax expert Shane Ratigan will be on hand to explain all of this and more… plus answer your questions.

Shane will:
  • Provide an overview of the MFA of 2015
  • Describe the newest state nexus trend, e.g., marketplace facilitator and economic nexus
  • Explain why companies need to keep watch on these federal and state changes
  • Explain the 23 major sales tax changes in California, Illinois, Arizona, and Alabama (and many others) that took place in July
After attending this event you will be able to:
Recognize the newest state nexus trend, e.g., marketplace facilitator and economic nexus
Identify why companies need to keep watch on these federal and state changes
Identify the 23 major sales tax changes in California, Illinois, Arizona, and Alabama (and many others) in July
