Shane currently serves as the Tax Law and Compliance Expert at Avalara Inc., and has been a Small Business Advisor on tax planning and succession issues for 10 years. He is responsible for managing compliance processes, reporting and tracking trends in the sales tax compliance environment. He is a subject matter expert on sales tax compliance for internal and external stakeholders. Shane earned an LLM in taxation from University of Washington School of Law , his Juris Doctorate (JD) from the Syracuse University College of Law, and holds a B.S. Accounting and Business Administration from State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
