Nick Araco, Jr., is the co-founder, president, and chief executive officer of AchieveNext and The CFO Alliance. He is one of the leading architects of new knowledge-sharing models for top executives incorporating the collective wisdom of peers, subject matter experts, and academic authorities. Named one of “40 Under 40” by a U.S. business magazine, Nick has spent over 15 years cultivating different professional communities and retooling their approach to knowledge-sharing and professional development. Before launching AchieveNext and The CFO Alliance, he served in a leadership role for a national accounting firm. Prior to that, Nick established and led a human capital firm. He began his career as a practicing attorney.

An active member of a number of professional organizations, Nick is a current board and executive committee member of the Philadelphia chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and previous co-chair of its M&A East conference. In addition to his roles as a leader for the Philadelphia chapter of the Loyola College Alumni Association and an advisory board member of the greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group (GPSEG), he has served on the selection committees of the PACT and Early Stage East Conferences.

Mr. Shapiro is a Partner at Ropart Asset Management and President and CFO of Fragmob. He previously served as CFO of Nature Technologies and Solution X Global. He began working at Franchise Mortgage Acceptance Company evaluating corporate loans. After FMAC, he joined UBS Investment Bank, advising corporate clients in Mergers and Acquisitions and Consumer Products & Retail in both New York and London. Mr. Shapiro is a board member for the CFO Alliance – New York, a member of NYSSA (New York Society of Security Analysts), the CFA Institute, the American Institute of CPAs, and served on the board of his co-op in NYC.

Mr. Shapiro received an MBA from Columbia Business School and an MBA from London Business School. He received an MS in Accounting from the Lubin School of Business at Pace where he attended on scholarship. Mr. Shapiro graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers College, completing a BS in Computer Science in three years. Mr. Shapiro is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a licensed CPA.

He has worked in Europe and the USA and run operations and offshore transaction processing and business information capabilities in Asia and Australasia. Richard has been a driver of business excellence through technology use and innovation for companies and clients alike and involved in a number of Technology Boards for Finance Executives.
