How to Survive a Sales Tax Exemption Certificate Audit

Date: Thursday, October 27, 2016
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
Much like natural disasters, audit notifications show up when you least expect them. However, unlike floods, tornadoes and hurricanes, preparedness for an audit has less to do with stockpiling bread and milk and more to do with maintaining an organized and valid collection of certificates from tax exempt customers.

Documenting exemption certificates is often harder and more time intensive than it sounds, but critical to making it through an audit unscathed. Join Silvia Aguirre, Chief Certificates Officer at Avalara for a webinar on October 27th to learn the keys to surviving a sales tax exemption certificate audit.
After attending this event you will be able to:
Identify what auditors are looking for
Understand how businesses are selected to undergo audits
Recognize how sales tax exemption certificates are scrutinized during an audit
Effectively prepare for an audit
Reduce Audit Liability
