Looking Back Equals Extinction; Predictive Analytics Drive Market Leadership

Date: Wednesday, January 21, 2015
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST There are no CPE Credits for this Solution Demonstration.
Companies must understand and be able to predict the behaviors of customers to be market leaders in today’s world. This can’t be done by relying only on historical data to define strategy and sluggish reactions to market dynamics that impact the bottom line. The data does exist to offer companies the insights necessary to react in real-time to the current and future demands of their customers. How? The answer is predictive analytics.

Join us as Steve Strout, Vice President, Corporate Technology Services, BlackBerry, 4–time CFO and CEO of Proformative John Kogan, and Christian Gheorghe, Founder & CEO, Tidemark reveal:

  • What Predictive Analytics is, and is not
  • The differences between forecasting and predictive modeling
  • How predictive business analytics allow companies to move away from reactive analytics to proactive (inferential) analytics that empower business agility
  • How to leverage your company’s human capital, technologies, tools, and processes for continuous analysis of past business performance to gain forward-looking insight to drive business decisions

Steve Strout, Vice President, Corporate Technology Services, BlackBerry will also share:

  • What BlackBerry has learned on the road back to market leadership
  • Specific lessons learned in redefining the partnership between technology, the office of Finance, and the Enterprise
  • Why now is the time to engage with SaaS technologies

Event Sponsor Tidemark
Tidemark - Tidemark doesn't think that you can move forward while looking back. An historical, database-structured view of the world is not the way businesspeople see the world. They don't have time to learn the intricacies of advanced modeling tools. They don't ask questions in SQL. They need information, now. They need today's context. And they need to know their options and the implications of each—before the decision window closes. Tidemark's unified performance management apps give all decision makers real-time analytics, complete with their personal business contexts. Now they know what if, why, and what to do about it. They can look forward, instead of back. And because Tidemark apps are delivered from the cloud, your team always has what they need, anywhere they happen to be.
