World Class Management Reporting

Date: Friday, May 22, 2015
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
Join Randall Bolten, former Corporate Controller of Oracle and former CFO of Broadvision as he provides insight into what matters for management reporting at mid and large-sized companies. Randall will discuss the important tenets of management reporting including recognizing the audience’s information needs, and how you can efficiently meet those needs and will cover key elements of both strategy and effective execution.

Specifically, the webinar will address:
  • Presenting information clearly and concisely. Just “getting the numbers right” isn’t nearly enough.
  • Understanding where to use “data visualization” tools and where not to.
  • Developing ratios, key indicators, and other metrics to add meaning and context to the raw numbers. But not too many.
  • Creating common standards within an enterprise for how much management information is going to be produced and presented.
  • Interacting with the management users of the information to get a better sense of how the information is being used.

By attending this webinar you will be better able to understand effective reporting strategies and how to implement them.
After attending this event you will be able to:
Identify key elements of an effective financial reporting strategy
Recognize the core needs of your reporting “audience” and how to address them
Identify both positive and negative approaches to reporting information
