Claire is based in our Silicon Valley Office and has over 15 years of experience with PwC. In addition to managing the Emerging Company Services Practice, she delivers high quality service to a portfolio of emerging companies, currently primarily in the life sciences sector. She excels in assisting companies manage through transition. She has extensive SEC experience; assists public and private companies in addressing complex issues including equity transaction accounting, revenue recognition accounting, preparing for an IPO and Sarbanes Oxley 404 implementation. Claire has participated in several Initial Public Offerings, Carve-Outs, Merger and Acquisition transactions, and 10 A investigations. Claire is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPA’s. She is also a Chartered Accountant. She was a contributing author to our "Roadmap to an IPO" Guide. Claire is an active community leader participating on non-profit Boards/Committees including Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, United Way Silicon Valley, and SV Forum.

Brad is a Director in PwC’s Emerging Company Services Group and represents the firm in the Mid-Atlantic region evaluating emerging venture-backed technology and life science companies. Brad counsels prospective and existing clients on proven strategies for raising capital and building strong management teams. He maintains relationships with many of the area’s funding sources and facilitates introductions for emerging companies to venture capitalists, private equity firms, banks and other investors. He serves as the regional media contact for PwC’s MoneyTree Report, a quarterly study that is the definitive source of information on emerging companies that receive financing and the venture capital firms that provide it. Brad also chairs the Nominating Committee for the Tech Council of Maryland’s annual Technology and Life Science Awards and is a company mentor at Virginia’s Mach37 Cyber Accelerator. Additionally, he serves as a company coach for Capital Call, a twice yearly Cooley, LLP event where emerging companies pitch investors. Brad is an active member of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association (MAVA) and the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC). Prior to joining PwC, Brad was the founding member of four companies and developed a track record of success within start-ups as well as multinational corporations. His expertise includes capital acquisition, sales and business development, professional networking, human capital acquisition and retention, and corporate strategy development. Brad earned a Masters of Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University.

John has been CFO at four technology companies, a finance executive at Cardinal Health, and in multiple roles at AlliedSignal and Cisco Systems. John has raised over $100M in equity capital and debt and has played central roles in numerous buy and sell-side transactions for both public and private companies. As COO at two companies, John also ran Engineering, Manufacturing and Customer Service operations. He has also founded, invested in and been a board member or advisor of a number of companies. John has a B.A. in Economics from Connecticut College and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
