Risks and Rewards of Budgeting in Excel

Date: Tuesday, August 15, 2017
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
Excel is the most commonly used tool in the budgeting process. This webinar looks at the pros and cons of Budgeting in Excel and the corresponding risks and rewards. The increased demand for more frequent and accurate forecasts has only increased those risks as the finance world has become more complex and fast paced with the potential cost of errors rising accordingly.

We will discuss how the features of that most common finance tool, Excel, can both help and hinder our ability to manage the budgeting and decision making processes.
After attending this event you will be able to:
Identify and understand the risks of budgeting in Excel
Recognize the steps we need to take when using Excel to reduce risk of error
Discuss the issues that need to be addressed to improve on Excel
