Understanding the Impact of Automation on Today’s Finance Teams

Date: Thursday, December 10, 2020
Time: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST
Amid the pandemic, finance executives face unprecedented challenges with leading forward-thinking finance teams when they cannot depend on past performance to inform planning for the future. Even as companies adapt to the necessity of working remotely, many finance teams reinforce informational silos when they continue to maintain individual spreadsheets in addition to, or, all too often, instead of relying on aging accounting systems. To eliminate informational silos, finance leaders will need to apply advances in automation to improve visibility into financial information and streamline traditional finance tasks, such as closing the books. Finance leaders will also depend on specific applications of technology, such as machine learning, to accelerate their planning so that their companies can emerge from the pandemic with greater agility in response to circumstances they cannot always anticipate.
By attending this webinar, you will learn:
What obstacles are preventing companies from maintaining visibility into their current financial performance,
Which advances in automation enable finance leaders to streamline processes for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating financial information,
How advances in particular applications of automation, such as machine learning, enable finance leaders to prepare and refine plans amid shrinking time horizons for doing so, and
What considerations finance leaders should keep in mind when determining which aspects of the finance function lend themselves best to automation.
