My experience with ADP has been stellar. Have worked with ADP at multiple companies and have always had great customer service. I do think they are becoming less person to person and more group resourcing for assistance...logging cases, phone calls to be returned later. But, we have multistate filings and also use their integrated HR and Benefits programs with no issues. The EeTime is integrated with ADP Payroll - very happy overall and would recommend to larger companies.

ADP is really easy to use, reduce exposure, and is a world's authority in employment and risk. They provide training and development programs that help drive productivity, enhance engagement, increase safety and reduce unexpected expenses and fines. ADP provide us a dedicated account specialist who is our go-to point of contact for any problems we may encounter. ADP offers a high level of support, and you can expect to have your problems solved in a timely manner with this company. The service is great!

Overall ADP does work well for the type of solutions our company needs. However, there are definitely some HRIS items I would prefer to have. As for customer service, hold times are long, many discrepancies of communication from one representative vs. another, and very difficult to understand all of the team members.

ADP payroll services and applications is good. The downside is the the time management part of ADP does not allow to run specific reports. Also the integration between run and ADP payroll should be much better.

We just migrated to ADP'S WorkForce Now from Total Pay and had only a few problems. There was upfront work to correct and prepare our data for the migration. So far we only had one problem after the migration that was solved after a long 3-way phone call with our ADP migration specialist and a CSR with ADP. We only use the payroll - we do not the Time & Attendance or Benefit modules. We tried using T&A and Benefits a few years ago and found them to be cumbersome and extremely time consuming.

We used to use ADP on their RUN platform. As we grew and needed to upgrade, we went to another provider. 6 months later, we came running back to ADP this time on their Workforce Now platform. Having experienced another vendor really made me appreciate the service we get from ADP. Doing payroll is easy again, as it should be...that's the idea of paying a provider, right? I'm no longer worried about incorrect data and fillings. There are some things I wish could be better...calling the main line and not knowing who I will get and sometimes it takes a little longer than I'd like to have an issue resolve. But ultimately, we get things resolved and all is well. The system is very easy to use. I would recommend ADP to anyone in the market.

In the past year we switched from ADP to Paychex to back to ADP. ADP is constantly changing and updating features in there system to make it more user friendly. Some features are better than others but overall I have no real significant issues with the system itself. Getting someone to help you based on what your need is still a hassle that I hope one day will get better.

I do tell my peers! I have told multiple friends who also own businesses how ADP has made my life so much better. We have used the HR services as well as payroll. I have had to call customer service a few times (all faults of my own). They are always very friendly, easy to access, and helpful.

ADP has been sufficient enough for our company. We use them for all of our payroll services and have not had very many issues with them at all. Their customer service has been sufficient and they seem to offer many resources at your fingertips to help assist with what you are trying to accomplish. This is a nice feature for a small business to have. Overall I would recommend ADP to other business'.

Excellent experience! We have been with ADP for almost 2 years. ADP provided in house training when we signed up, our rep was with us for several days of training and then for an additional month via phone when running payroll. Their system is very user friendly and our experience with customer service has been great. If there is a problem, which is rare, I simply call the number and speak directly to a PERSON never an automated machine. I would and have recommended ADP to several people who have made the switch, they too are very happy with ADP's services.

I like the ease of using ADP Resource. You can import the timecards from EZLabor into ADP Resource and I don't have to worry about input errors or calculating overtime incorrectly. ADP Resource has several nice features that allows us to rely information to our employees. I woulf highly recommend the product.

Great system. When the company has management or support changes, everything falls apart. We are a smaller company and get forgot about a lot. Have had issues with customer service and do not get a response from our relationship manager anymore.

We have had a great experience with ADP. We use their payroll, HR, and retirement services. Getting started with ADP was easy and they were very helpful getting us setup. Since then, we have used their HR services several times to assist us with HR issues. We are a small business without a formal HR department, so this alone has been extremely helpful. Processing payroll is a breeze and ADP has been quick and informed when helping us with any special, custom, exception-type payroll items when they arise. We have had a very easy time getting real humans on the phone whenever needed without long wait times or excessive phone menus.

ADP is a great product for small businesses. I have used it with my last 2 companies and I can say that they are an easy to use product. The company does address your issues and seem to work at correcting ongoing issues. The one complaint that I do have is that customer service could improve, I find hold times to be outrageous at times and knowledge between departments is scarce (i.e. 401k doesn't understand basic payroll functions) but I did just go through an update to out pay frequency and the process went very smoothly.

I've use ADP for multiple small businesses. They are a little more expensive than other companies, but will work with you on pricing. I like how well the EZ Labor time clock program integrates with payroll. Their pay-by-pay workers comp insurance is very good. Only problem I have is that they don't have some reports I need, which are available with other major payroll companies. Overall, I've had a very good experience with ADP.

ADP is a lifesaver. Our previous payroll company was so "bare minimum," and with very tight time limits to do anything. ADP is so streamlined and user-friendly, and offers so much more above and beyond. Customer service is great, and always respectful. I would (and have) suggest ADP for anyone's payroll needs. A+!!!

We have been using ADP for about 2 years and it is so convenient and easy to manage the site. If I ever have any issues their Client Service line is always very efficient. I get answers to what I need done and I also get the problem resolved. They also offer call back service, so if they are busy you don't have to hold they will give you a call back when it is your turn in the call que.I have enjoyed the relationship we have with ADP and the Client Services they provide. Payroll has been easy and smooth since we have been using ADP.

We have used ADP for several years and they are an excellent payroll processing company at a great price. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They make payroll easy and take care of all of the reporting requirements for you. I have had very few issues with them and the few I had were quickly resolved. I have never had any issues with the government reporting and tax paying they have done for us on our behalf.

Horrible experinece. Their system is not user friendly. All we want to do is enter time to pay people and this system makes you go to multiple steps to do so. They are not set up under the same system for certified payroll so yes you have to now learn two different web pages and download more programs. There is a catch to this and you have to learn a completely different system. MY payroll use to take me an hour and now it is taking me 4 hours because of all the steps I now have to take, to input all the data. I would strongly discourage any small business to use these services. Currently I am writing this message while on hold for 28 min for one simple question. They haven't even checked on me once. I have been in the customer service industry before and this is compleatly unexceptable

Due to ADP purchase and integration of various products throughout the years, it is difficult to use the service. Various webistes and passwords are required to process a complete payroll. I would prefer a more integrated system. It is often difficult to speak with customer service as there are again various numbers to call for different sites within the one payroll.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

First of all, if you are the employee of a firm that uses ADP, you aren't allowed to talk to ADP, only your company rep can.

Secondly I am a FORMER employee of a firm that used ADP and couldn't get in touch with anyone at my former employer because everyone in HR was quitting and no one would/could call me back to help me since they weren't there anymore so I had no way to get in touch with my the ADP rep.

I was having a simple tech issue with the ADP website and not able to view my pay stubs. After spending an hour trying to find a phone number that would get me to an actual person at ADP [without the automated system just telling me to call my company and then hanging up on me] I finally found a number on a random internet forum (of people complaining about ADP) that got me to a person. This person then was nice enough to transfer me to PC support, however that support person told me it was illegal for them to talk directly to me and that they couldn't help me with this simple problem. She then hung up on me in the middle of begging her to help me since I couldn't get a hold of anyone at my former company to get my ADP rep. She also told me that she couldn't tell me who my rep was because once again the would be "illegal". I know I was getting annoying, but it was because I had no options...either way don't hang up on me...at least have a little decency and send me to someone that could help.

Suffice it to say I will never ever choose this company as a service provider for ANYTHING. Ironically I've started my own business since leaving that prior firm and I am looking for a payroll/HR outsourcing company...you guessed it, IT WON'T BE ADP!!!!

I used Paychex for 6 months in 2011 and am still trying to get the reporting with the IRS and Social Security straightened out. I went with ADP in September of 2013 and this experiment is over at the end of December 2013. I would never use either of these services again. You need a full time person just to go through all of their training and answer their emails. It has just been a horrible experience and I'm so happy to be returning to my local payroll provider who gives me great service and competitive rates and someone I can actually call and talk to. My advice is save yourself a lot of grief and stay away from Paychex and ADP. I still receive emails from Paychex trying to get me to return and what I find interesting is that it's never the same person, so my assumption is they have a huge turnover in personnel.

Customer service is terrible. Hard to get through to a live person. You call one number for tax. Another number for hours. Another number for regular payroll. Another number for customer service. Should be a one phone number / one contact person. Software is not user friendly. Too many different screens when it could be combine into one. Tax department cannot solve issues. I have sent the same tax issue five different times without a resolvement.

ADP is actively upgrading its architecture to compete with more modern integrated payroll./ time and attendance/ HR solutions. They provide alot of resource to help you implement and upgrade their solutions; the resources, however, are very specialized and it is sometimes difficult to get to the bottom of issues if your administration is more generalist in nature and not so systems savvy. Also, their approach does not automatically tailor the use of their tools to your specific needs very well unless the resource on your side is creative and systems savvy. It it is, you can get a pretty good result from their solutions. Overall, though, I find their solutions usable and their support helpful.

I was with ADP for 1 year and Paychex for 6 months, I can honestly say they have the worst service ever. I recently changed our Payroll service provider to a small company name R.P.S. of Tampa, Inc and I wish I would have done this earlier. They have outstanding service and you always talk to a live person. If anybody is looking for outstanding and quality service please check out this company. I promise I will never use ADP or Paychex again. Most business owns become complacent and think that ADP and Paychex is the only payroll companies in the world you're wrong. Smaller payroll companies are more dedicated to working hard for their clients.

ADP would often file our state taxes late, which caused us a lot of problems. ADP often did not respond to my customer service requests re: reporting. We left ADP for Paychex at huge savings. I was then hounded by ADP sales representatives trying to get us to switch back.

Would only use if I was with a large, distributed company that required multi-state filings and extensive benefits tracking. I do not think ADP is appropriate for small businesses as they tend to have regional offices that are sometimes not as responsive to the fast paced needs of small businesses. In addition, ADP tends to be a bit more costly.

If you have complex payroll requirements, then ADP is a good product. If your payroll needs are simple and you do not forsee significant usage of their Human Resources modules, then go with Paychex. Also, If you desire face to face contact with your representative and do not want to deal with having to call an 800 number, then ADP may not be the best solution for you.

ADP implementation depends on the level of service you purchase. The more modules you employ, the longer it takes to implement. Timing on ADP implementation was comparable to Paychex and visa versa with no clear winner in the timing aspect.

What I liked most
Ability to deal with multi state reporting issues and requirements, especially when working on both coasts.

What I liked least:
The impersonal interface that frequently came with the spoke and wheel model they employ for deployment.
