We use Evernote when on the go for taking notes and jotting down ideas. Often after a meeting or conversation, I'll jot down notes in Evernote and then tag it with keywords to make it easier to find. It stores your information on the cloud so you can access it from your smartphone, tablet, or even web. They offer a basic free version with limited storage and a premium paid version that allows for greater storage. This app also allows you to take pictures and I’ve used it to take images of handwritten notes and business cards so I can access them later. Because it allows you to insert keywords or tags, you can easily find the information you are looking for.

This Web/Smartphone application utilizes the Cloud to store data (text, web pages, URLs, pictures, PDF, Spreadsheets, etc) in a format that is entirely configurable by the user. It comes in two flavors, FREE (and I mean free, no gotchas) and Premium for upgraded storage amounts and a few extra (depending on your needs) features such as local copies of folders for off-line access.

Let’s defined configurable: Evernote is a note-taking/storage application. So just as your manual filing system allows you to create folders, so does Evernote. These folders can also be shareable (either read only or read-write (premium service). You can tag entries with key works. In addition, you can add a description to any entry.

Folders, tags and text search are enabled. Widgets for web browsers for fast cataloging are available. Sending items via e-mail to your Evernote account is a snap, and you can tell it which folder to use by adding its name in the subject.

Now I can access from almost anywhere items I want to have, without logging into my desk file cabinet. Great product!
