I have a 30M client who provides a 401K program for their EE's. I'm hearing complaints from EE's about poor fund selection and high fees. I've heard and read about these types of complaints before and have always been a bit skeptical about how committed providers are to serving the best interests of employee groups. I haven't dealt directly with this issue before, but I'm now being asked by the CEO to engage on this issue on his company's behalf. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach the current provider, prospective/replacement providers, transition issues, provider referrals, etc.? Thanks.
