Responsible for GAAP accounting and Statutory accounting.

VP-Finance : Arch Insurance Group - [2003-06 to 2013-06]
Responsible for financial planning, investments, taxes, treasury and other miscellaneous had-hoc projects. • Managing the implementation of the new Planning system (Business Objects). • Manage the yearly planning process by gathering data from all departments throughout the company. • Manage quarterly reforecast process. • Analyzing and evaluating financial plans for AIGI and major business initiatives. • Manage the investment and tax accounting departments. • Provide the company Washington consultants with information to complete the Transfer Pricing study. • Work closely with ACS, ACGL’s service company. • Review ACGL’s SEC reports (10K and 10Q’s) and provide comments. • Review and provide comments on new FASB and EITF implementation. • Part of committee to implement IFRS. • Review Quarterly and Annual Statutory financial statements of insurance subsidiaries, including audited financial statements.

Managed budget for the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), including supporting various departments to complete budget and forecast. Provide company-wide expense analysis to the Sourcing department for vendor negotiations. Coordinated the implementation of US general accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and providing Quarterly and Annual financial statements including footnote disclosures to parent company in Paris. Researched impact of new/pending accounting pronouncements (FASB’s, APB’s, EITF’s, etc.). Led and managed the consolidation of subsidiaries accounts in preparation of internal and external financial reporting, including 10-Q, 10-K, S-1, EDGAR, Annual Report and Management Report. Financial reporting liaison between Equitable and parent company in Paris.

Led and managed the consolidation of subsidiaries accounts in preparation of internal and external financial reporting (10-Q, 10-K, Annual Report and Management Report) for Geneve and IHC. Managed the full completion of the blue book and filing requirements to fifty states.
