Revenue Controller : Nanometrics - [2008-07 to 2010-03]
I was recruited to Nanometrics to provide leadership, training and development for the revenue recognition process, and to use my knowledge/expertise in law and revenue recognition to review contracts and other agreements for tools, upgrades and service (under EITF 00-21 and SAB 104). In this role I assessed complex transactions ranging from $100K to $10 million and supported the Sales team with negotiation of terms and arrangements. Worked with Business Unit Managers to develop selling price process. I managed worldwide accounts receivable collections, where I reduced day’s sales outstanding from 110 to 75, in one year. I was also responsible for the month-end revenue close including journal entries and account reconciliations related to revenue, deferred revenue and accounts receivable. I research and write position papers outlining the company’s position on revenue recognition issues.

Revenue Controller : Kana Software - [2006-08 to 2008-06]
Provided leadership, training, and development for revenue team. Directed licensing, revenue recognition and invoicing for public, $60 million, global, Enterprise CRM Company. Used legal knowledge and revue recognition expertise to review software contracts and other agreements for software license, maintenance, On-Demand, and professional services revenue recognition under SOP 97-2, SOP 98-9, SOP 81-1, EITF 00-21 and SAB 104. Trained sales team on Revenue Recognition Fundamentals. Supported sales team with negotiation of arrangements. Oversaw the month-end revenue close including journal entries and account reconciliations related to revenue, deferred revenue and cost of revenues. Researched and wrote position papers delineating company positions relating to revenue recognition issues.
