I have only been exposed to ACT! and Salesforce.com and there is no comparison - Salesforce wins hands down. We had constant problems with database corruption with ACT as well as on-going issues with the sync process which made Salesforce a great solution since it is cloud-based. The only issue we've had with Salesforce is that there is so much available in the software that it has been overwhelming to the sales staff. After nearly a year on the software, we've hired a consultant to come in and do some additional training as well as cleaning up and hiding some of the features that are not applicable to our business.

Hi Brenda,

Yes, I think we need something simple, without too many confusing features as well.

I think software designers sometimes confuse features with benefits and add a few too many features, when the real benefit is being able to use it and get somewhere.

You might want to look at the low end Salesforce licenses if you five or fewer users. It is basic contact management without a lot of the additional features we have (and aren't using). We had to purchase an upgraded version because we had more than the five users.
