Q&A Forum

I'm looking into implementing electronic board books, does anyone have any experiences to share or recommendations on which provider to use?

The solutions to assist with this process are evolving as regulatory requirements change across the globe. In addition, it is typically best to leverage a solution that can assist with more than electronic board books. Trintech's Cadency solution is the world’s only financial governance solution that weaves all Record-to-Report (R2R) activities into a single, seamless whole. The result: a reinvented, shortened Record-to-Report cycle that minimizes risk, resource and costs – and aligns finance with a constantly changing business and regulatory environment. I encourage you to check out http://www.trintech.com/cadency/.

We post our Board Books and advance reading materials in a secure drop box site and then assist the Board Members in the set up of CloudOn on their iPads. With this set up, we can monitor when each Board Member assessed the materials via Drop Box and provide fully MS Office functionality through CloudOn. After each meeting the files are removed from the DropBox file location.

We use NASDAQ's Directors Desk portal and it has been a great experience. It gives us the opportunity to bost board materials as they are ready, instead of the last minute compiling and mailing scramble. Directors and management have more time to prepare. The site also serves as our board archive, so version control and lost documents are no problem. Learnign curve was nominal for users and content providers. I think all of our directors really like it. It's great but I doubt you could justify it with a payback calculation.
