ERP Training In A Non-Sales Setting?

erp trainingOur management team is convinced we need to implement an ERP system. Frankly, I have my doubts about how well-informed our team is, not that we couldn't benefit, but it would be best to be informed on a more granular level before proceeding.

I think it would be useful (for me anyway) to gain some knowledge about what's possible, especially prior to contributing to the vendor/system selection discussion and well before having to use it.

What are some education options for erp education or erp training for me to pursue, especially around a busy work schedule? I don't want to be sold anything... just want to increase my knowledge in this area.

I love implementation of ERP systems and project management, it sounds like your team does too.

If you are a larger mid size business and you want the full featured ERP reporting density and transparency, etc but you want it from the cloud, I encourage you to research Intacct. Intacct is recommended by the AICPA. Mozilla has implemented it - they have over 600 employees. You can find the CFO testimonial videos here and a lot of other information that will increase your level of excitement about the product. Schedule a demo session online.

ERP will help you to scale, its an important transition, but you don't need to invest in expensive technology anymore.

It's just like everything else in business - it always comes back to networking.

The best source for this info is from other companies in your field - see what they are using, how it works for them, how it doesn't, who handles the support, etc. Ideally, if you have a good relationship with competitors, possibly thru an industry association - that's where I'd start. Industry specific trade shows can also be a good source for IT vendors. Or,if you're able, post more specifics about your firm and its needs on Proformative and see what this community suggests.

Good luck!
