Should you "friend" your colleagues on social networking sites, other than professional sites like LinkedIn?

Agree with Valerie. Keep them separate. Work colleagues should not have insight to your personal family and friend networks. It could be career limiting.

I think it depends on your social media strategy, but for most people it makes sense to keep them separate.

I would say no. From everything to political views to what you do on your personal time may be posted on social media sites. I don't think you want this known around the office.
