CCH's Accounting Research Manager is the best overall product...and if you can afford it as a supplement, BNA offers additional/indepth analyses and examples.

I receive FASB emails, and regularly review both the basic and Codification site. We also use CCH and PricewaterhouseCooper's Comperio. All the documents are available, together with analysis.

If you have an external auditor, use their tools, seminars, and webcasts. They will also typically issue newsletters that address current topics. Even if you use a smaller firm with none of these resources, contact a national or regional firm expressing interest in their services. If nothing else, they will put you on their mailing list, which means they will send all kind of accounting updates to get you hooked on their services.
