IFRS rookie

Hello. What are 5-10 items/activities I should be aware of about accounting for a nonprofit org that conducts business in Africa? The org is HQ and based out of the USA and uses GAAP for its financials. I'm new to IFRS and attempting to build a "cheat sheet" to get my knowledge based started. Thanks in advance.
