International Chart of Accounts

Dear all,

I'm studying accounting for business purpose and I've failed to find a valuable information, so I'm asking here...

I would like to get a chart of accounts for each country like the one we have in France. I've heard that there's no such thing in other countries, is that right?

Kind Regards

When you say Chart of accounts, if you mean a list containing all the accounting-related information and basics, I don't think there is something as such that's widely popular. You can try referring to a ton of books - this will give you the basic information you're looking for.

Generally, a Chart of accounts is the listing of all accounts used in the general ledger of a Company. The chart is mainly used by the accounting software to aggregate information into an entity's financial statements. The chart is usually sorted in order by account number, to help in finding specific accounts.
