Microsoft Great Plains TrainingI am assuming a new role and l need knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains which l do not currently have. Does anyone know of the website or resources l can use to learn the software

I recommend that you review the info on the Microsoft website for Dynamics (aka Great Plains). You can join the user community website:

Also, you can join Customer Source, which has many Q&A about features & functionality, product manuals, etc. There is also training modules embedded into the software. I recommend those.

Finally, there may be a local user group you could join.

There is a User Group called GPUG that is a good resource.
And your company probably works with a Microsoft Partner (consultant) that could give guidance as well.

Another way is to ask your service provider to give you a one day walk through on the product. You will need just an overview of how it works from a structural , Chart of accounts stand point. Being the CFO you might want a reports and dash board overview too. Which version of GP does your company use?

Lastly, see if your new company loaded the "demo database" or if you can get it and load it from your desktop. This way you can "play" and get the hang of the system.
