NetSuite Financial Planning Module

My company is going to be implementing a NetSuite ERP Solution in the next couple of months and I was wondering if anyone had experience with the NetSuite Financial Planning module that can be integrated into the ERP solution.  I have traditionally used Excel for budgeting and planning, but Excel is very manual, time consuming, and error-prone.  So, I was wondering if the NetSuite Financial Planning module provides value or is there another financial planning solution that can also be incorporated into NetSuite that provides more value than the NetSuite version.  Since NetSuite has not been implemented yet, I don't have any experience with that paritcular software so any comments or suggestions would be helpful to me.  Thank you for your time and comments.

I think that the FP module is provided by Adaptive Planning, I would check with your colleagues leading the selection project or the NetSuite sales rep. If that is the case, take a look at the Adaptive Planning website for more details. AP is a planning and reporting tool, so you can build various models, using actual GL data or budgets/estimates. It's pretty popular in the mid market.

Adaptive Planning is integrated, but I cannot confirm that it is being bundled with NS. AP is very solid for both CPM and reporting generally (although Netsuite reporting is plenty capable). Worked recently with an implementation partner for AP that is more knowledgeable of this integration. Let me know if you would like to connect with them.

Like the previous comments, I think adaptive planning is bundled with NS. There may be integration APIs to go from one to another. From what I hear, AP has a great reputation.

We use both NetSuite and Adaptive Planning and we LOVE Adaptive. It is a separate module that sits outside of NetSuite and you can push actuals into Adaptive from NetSuite. Adaptive is very easy to use, has great reporting functionality and their support is great.

Host Analytics has many customers that run Netsuite for ERP and Host Analytics for Budgeting, Planning & Forecasting, as well as, financial consolidations and reporting.

See these customer case studies:

Host Analytics offers a special integration (Host Analytics Connector Pack) to NetSuite
http://www.hostanalytics.com/products/attributes/features/integration
That enables customers to go live in with their data in 1-3 days. The big difference is that Host Analytic brings over ERP data into their application on an automated and secure basis so users don't have to risk drilling back into the ERP which accountants typically don't want.

Hope this helps!
