Hello everyone, How could an item from stock that will be used for display in the showroom be entered? The item is not going to be soldable again. Under which account should this appear? A friend suggested that we create an invoice for that item with price value of zero to a customer named showroom. We need to also track the total value of all the displayed items used in the showroom for one year. P. S. We are using QuickBooks Enterprise.

I would say setup a sub inventory account and mark it, "Inventory: Showroom" this will track the value of your items in showroom. When you take the items down from the showroom and discard them you can then credit them out of inventory and expense as advertising or spoilage.
