Based on US News & Report: 1) University of Texas--Austin, 2) University of Illinois--Urbana-Champaign, 3) Brigham Young University--Provo, 4) University of Notre Dame, 5) University of Southern California The full report has 25 schools. Which schools do you suggest, recommend to aspiring accountants?

I would personally be quite suspicious of evaluations done by US News and World Report. With undergraduate schools, the criteria (and values) they have are not consistent with my ideas about makes for a good education. Rather than beginning with this list, might it not be better to start with your ideas about what makes a good accounting education, then ask the list what schools are most capable of providing an education along these lines?

There are hundreds of colleges and universities with excellent accounting programs. The 5 they've listed are probably 5 of the more expensive. If I was considering colleges, US News & Reports' list would not be part of my decision.
