Tracking Commercial Insurance Coverage

Is anyone aware of a software application, or Excel template that helps you track your commercial insurance coverage? Essentially we are trying to look at our overall insurance coverage and want to summarize all our policies it into an easy to use format. I was hoping that with all the new applications out there we might have an insurance organizer in the cloud. This would be very useful in getting new quotes on your insurance and remaining insured at the proper coverage.

Hello, Bryan - As a long-time insurance professional, I strongly recommend that you utilize the easiest, cheapest and most efficient tool - insurance agencies. Rather than you spending your time tracking and comparing, chose three or four agencies to review your current policies, tell you where they see your risks and potential savings and take the information from all of them to evaluate the best options. If you tell them you want to see your total coverage from all your current policies summarized, they can do that. Not only do they have the tools at hand (free to you!), but more importantly, they have the knowledge and understanding of commercial risks. They earn commission based on how much they sale, so you will have to be wise in reviewing their recommendations of course, but you can tap into their expertise and get your policy information summarized at the same time. Just my personal recommendation as a fellow financial professional (not an insurance agent!).
