Virtual office in Singapore

Lindsay Ho's Profile

My company is opening a virtual office in Singapore with no employee, I want to know if there is any rules, tax or accounting issue we need to know or be aware of.

It totally depends on what you mean by "virtual office". If it is a mailbox and a phone through a third party service. No.
If you are planning on being in SG and signing a contract there, you may be on thin ice unless you have a PE location that you're assigning the contract to.

Hi Keith,

Thank you for answering my question. Our customers want to issue the PO to Singapore local branch/office instead directing to head quarter in the US. We'll not have a physical employee but an outside sale rep pay via commission. What's your suggestion? Do you know approximately how much it cost?
