Consider using a balanced scorecard measurement and management system. A traditional BSC framework looks at Growth (product included), Customer, Ops Excellence and Finance. If you look at metrics and have initiatives in each of these areas - you likely have a comprehensive and sound strategy and can monitor and execute it effectively.
